WMUK's fall campaign starts Oct. 18

KALAMAZOO, Mich.--Western Michigan University's public radio station WMUK will kick off its annual fall campaign on Saturday, Oct. 18, and hopes to cut on-air pledging in half.

The goal of this fall's campaign is $160,000. The radio station, broadcasting at 102.1 on the FM dial, uses membership contributions and additional gifts to produce local programs and purchase programs such as "Morning Edition," "All Things Considered," "Wait Wait. . .  Don’t Tell Me" and "From the Top."

WMUK encourages members to take a lead role in supporting the programs they value by sending in their gifts, contributing online or calling in a pledge during the live portion of the pledge campaign.
