Robert L. Blefko obituary

Dr. Robert L. Blefko, a former Western Michigan University faculty member, died Nov. 1 at his home in Kalamazoo. He was 82.

Blefko, of Kalamazoo, joined the WMU faculty in 1968 and retired in 1997 after 29 years of service to the University. He was hired as an assistant professor of mathematics and retired as an associate professor of mathematics and statistics. His specialty was topology, which he taught at the graduate level. He also taught a wide range of undergraduate math courses, including the calculus sequence and probability theory.

Memorial service

A memorial service was held on campus Nov. 19.
