KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Promoters of a new film with several Western Michigan University connections have rescheduled the WMU tribute night that was canceled Nov. 18 due to bad weather.

The film "Pilot Error," which counts four WMU alumni among its cast and crew, will pay tribute to the University and its theatre program at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Kalamazoo 10 theatre in Oshtemo. The event will include a screening of the film at a cost of only $5 for students.

Among the night's WMU-connected participants will be alumna and lead actress Kate Thomsen as well as Joan Herrington, professor and chair of theatre, and D. Terry Williams, WMU professor emeritus and former chair of theatre. In addition, a WMU student pilot will be on hand for the event.

The new mystery/drama "Pilot Error" also will be shown at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and at various times later that week in the Kalamazoo 10 as well as in the Celebration theatre in Portage.

A complete listing of more than 25 December screenings across Michigan and the Midwest is at pilot-errormovie.com. The film will expand to more than 200 theaters in 2015.
