WMU United Way celebration slated
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—A celebration at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in the Gilmore Theatre Complex Atrium will mark the end of Western Michigan University's campus United Way campaign.
As of early January, faculty, staff, students and retirees pledged more than 93 percent of the campaign's goal of $282,335, a number that represents all certificates and degrees awarded to WMU graduates since 1904, including the anticipated number of degrees to be awarded in the current 2014-15 academic year.
The campaign to "Change the Story" for recipients of United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region funds is continuing to collect pledges.
