Luke Kempner brings 'America's Got Downton' to Miller

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Actor, impressionist and YouTube sensation Luke Kempner will bring the one-man parody "America's Got Downton" to Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28.

This event has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict.

In "America's Got Downton," Kempner creates more than 30 characters, blending celebrity visitors with well-known characters from the PBS hit television series "Downton Abbey."

The show is produced by James Seabright, the original producer of the worldwide hit Potted Potter, written and performed by Kempner, and directed by Owen Lewis.

Luke Kempner

Writer/performer Luke Kempner has recently appeared in Sleeping Beauty for Salisbury Playhouse and as the professor in the UK tour of South Pacific. He's also appeared in the UK tours of Avenue Q and Les Misérables. He is a graduate of the Guildford School of Acting.

Tickets for "America's Got Downton" at Miller Auditorium are on sale now and cost $35. They can be purchased online at millerauditorium.com, by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 387-2312, or in person at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office.

A 15 percent discount is available to all WMU faculty and staff, and a 50 percent discount is available to WMU students. Discounted tickets may be purchased by phone or in person, and a valid Bronco ID is required at the time of pickup. Group discounts are available at (269) 387-2312.
