KALAMAZOO. Mich—The Western Michigan University Broncos' gridiron battle against Murray State University will be the setting Saturday, Sept. 19, for the 24th annual CommUniverCity celebration that will attract thousands to Waldo Stadium and Hyames Field for an evening of tailgating and football under the lights.

CommUniverCity Night

Launched in 1992, the event includes a corporate pre-game tailgating event on Hyames and Ebert fields that is by invitation only. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Fireworks are planned as part of the halftime program.

This will be the second meeting between the Broncos and the Murray State Racers. The Broncos won the first-ever meeting between the two teams, a 45-14 decision in last year's home opener, which was the centerpiece of the 2014 CommUniverCity celebration.

Tickets for the game may be purchased by calling  (888) 4-WMU-TIX. Tailgate rules and game day parking information are posted at wmich.edu/tailgate. Additional ticket, parking, shuttle and stadium information can be found at bit.ly/1PNl6d0.

The game will be broadcast on the Bronco Radio Network and carried on ESPN3.
