School of Music to present annual scholarship benefit concert

All concert proceeds will benefit scholarships for students in the School of Music.

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University School of Music will present its annual WMUsic Showcase Spectacular at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in Miller Auditorium. The event is a benefit concert; all proceeds will be applied toward music student scholarships.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and $5 for students, and are available from Miller Auditorium online or by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858.

About the program

Produced by Greg Jasperse, conductor of the Gold Company, this event will showcase the polished ensemble playing and gifted individual talents of the students, faculty and ensembles in the School of Music. Samples of the broad range of the school's musical offerings will be strung together into a fluid montage of diverse sights and sounds.
