Hannah Addario-Berry to present recital celebrating solo cello works
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Cellist Hannah Addario-Berry will present "Scordatura" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in Western Michigan University’s Dalton Center Lecture Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
About the program
One hundred years ago, Zoltán Kodály composed his "Sonata for Solo Cello," one of the most significant works written for the instrument. In celebration of this centenary, Addario-Berry created "Scordatura," which showcases the 1915 sonata alongside companion works created a century later by dynamic young composers Brent Miller, Eric K.M. Clark, Alisa Rose and WMU faculty member Lisa Renée Coons.
