KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Campus Planning personnel are looking for additional campus input following an Oct. 1 session that showcased design concepts for improvements in the area around Goldsworth Valley Pond.

Faculty, staff and students attended the input session and design presentation made by the landscape architecture firm O’Boyle Cowell, Blalock & Associates. The design includes new gathering spaces and walking paths along the water's edge that will enhance users' enjoyment of this special campus feature.

The project also includes native and wetland landscape plantings at the perimeter of the pond to provide a buffer for wildlife and filtering of storm water discharged into the pond.

Comments on the plans are still being solicited by Campus Planning through Nov. 30. Comments on the plan can be submitted through an email contact on the last page of the Oct. 1 presentation materials.
