University Symphony Orchestra to perform free preview concert

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will perform a free Michigan Music Conference preview concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The Dec. 5 program will include the "Overture to Die Meistersinger" by Richard Wagner, Arturo Marquez’s "Danzon No. 2" and the finale to Tchaikovsky’s "Symphony No. 4 in F minor."

The Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Symphonic Band and Chorale, will perform at the opening concert of the Michigan Music Conference in January at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids.
