Annual brass Christmas concert to conclude holiday performances

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Brass Quintet will present its popular Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, in Western Michigan University’s Dalton Center Recital Hall.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and $5 for students, and are available from Miller Auditorium online or by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858.

"A Brass Celebration of Christmas" features the Western Brass Quintet and an ensemble of outstanding students and faculty from the School of Music, including faculty percussionist Judy Moonert. Members of the brass quintet are Scott Thornburg and Robert White, trumpet; Lin Foulk, horn; Daniel Mattson, trombone; and Jacob Cameron, tuba.

The program will include selections from the Renaissance, the Baroque, and other periods. The afternoon promises an entertaining mix of traditional holiday music, brass classics and new favorites.
