Jason M. Currie

Jason M. Currie, a Western Michigan University custodian, died Nov. 26 in Scotts. He was 42.

Currie, who was on a leave of absence at the time of his death, had joined the staff in 2010. Survivors include his wife, Myra, an employee in WMU's Department of Public Safety, and three children.

He was deeply involved in the life of his children, working with his daughter's Girls on the Run team as well as coaching football, basketball and cross-country. He also was a faithful member of Radiant Church.

When not on the job at WMU or participating in his children's activities, Currie enjoyed lifting weights, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
