Acclaimed dance company comes to Miller Auditorium

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Momix, a company of dancer-illusionists, is coming to Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Momix, known internationally for presenting work of exceptional inventiveness and physical beauty, is under the direction of Moses Pendleton. In addition to stage performances world-wide, Momix has worked in film and television. With performances on PBS’s "Dance in America" series, France’s Antenne II, and Italian RAI television, the company’s repertory has been broadcast to 55 countries. Momix was also featured in "Imagine," one of the first 3-D IMAX films to be released in IMAX theaters world-wide.

With nothing more than light, shadow, props, and the human body, Momix has astonished audiences on five continents for more than 35 years.

Momix at Miller Auditorium is part of the Lake Michigan Mailers Spotlight Series and is welcomed by Meijer, Seat n Sleep and Pepsi. Tickets are on sale now and range from $25 to $45. They can be purchased online at millerauditorium.com, by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 387-2312, or in person at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office.

A 15 percent discount is available to all WMU faculty and staff, and a 50 percent discount is available to WMU students. Discounted tickets may be purchased by phone or in person, and a valid Bronco ID is required at the time of pickup. Group discounts are available at (269) 387-2312.
