Ensemble featuring WMU music students to play show at Bell's Eccentric Cafe
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—After playing two sold-out shows in Kalamazoo last December, orchestral pop band MNOE + Lauren Deming returns with a host of fresh compositions for one performance at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Bell's Eccentric Cafe, 355 E. Kalamazoo Ave. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15 at the door and $12 in advance, and are available online or at Bell's General Store. The show is open to ages 21 and over.
The performance by Deming and this all-star group of WMU music students will also feature British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Fiona Dickinson, who will open the show.
About the band
MNOE + Lauren Deming was formed by composer and pianist Mark Niskanen and Deming. The group released its debut single and music video “Never Twice” in December. The Feb. 12 performance will be a sneak preview of some of the material planned for a debut album.
