Annual concerto competition finals to feature outstanding student musicians

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The 2016 Western Michigan University School of Music Competition Finals will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The competition winners will perform at the Annual Concerto Concert with the University Symphony Orchestra at 3 p.m.Sunday, April 24, in Miller Auditorium.

The judges for this year’s competition are Charles Aschbrenner, professor emeritus of piano at Hope College; Linda Dykstra, associate professor of voice and chair of the voice area at Hope College; and Dan Graser, assistant professor of saxophone at Grand Valley State University.
