Tango musician J.P. Jofre to give on-campus performance

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—J.P Jofre, one of the most creative and exciting tango artists since Astor Piazzolla, makes his Michigan debut at Western Michigan University in collaboration with the WMU string program at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

In the program, produced by professors Renata Artman Knific and Tom Knific, Jofre and Argentine pianist Pablo Cafici will perform in duo, quintet, and string orchestra formations featuring Jofre’s compositions and arrangements.
