Jazz duo to give intimate performance
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—European guitar legend Philip Catherine and New York-based German bass wonder Martin Wind are set to perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in Western Michigan University’s Dalton Center Recital Hall. Jazz standards, reinterpretations of classical works and originals are at the heart of the duo's repertoire.

About the duo
Catherine’s career spans tours and recordings with Stephane Grappelli, Dexter Gordon, Charles Mingus and more. Wind well-known on the New York City music scene and is a member of numerous ensembles, including the trios of Matt Wilson, Dena DeRose, Jim McNeely and Bill Mays.
