Trustees to consider five-year strategic plan for WMU

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Meeting on Wednesday, March 23, the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees will consider a new five-year strategic plan designed to set key University priorities through 2020.

Trustees will meet in formal public session at 11 a.m. in 157-159 Bernhard Center on campus in Kalamazoo. Trustees will consider a recommendation to adopt for campuswide use a plan known a The Gold Standard 2020. Under development since July 2015, the plan is a successor to a three-year plan adopted for a period that concluded at the end of 2015.

Additional items on the agenda include reports covering personnel moves, receipt of gifts and grants, a number of changes to academic programs, and reports on operating cash and annuity and life income funds. An informational report on WMU's international initiatives and global engagement also is part of the agenda.
