Employee, retiree talk focuses on WMU health insurance
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—All Western Michigan University employees and retirees are invited to attend a presentation on "Using the BCBSM Website" from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, on campus in 1010 College of Health and Human Services Building.
Knowledge of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan website can help retirees as well as current faculty and staff members understand their WMU health care plan and the costs associated with it.
About the presentation
Speaking at the May 13 event will be Melissa Bosak from BCBSM. Bosak will discuss:
- Establishing your individual BCBSM website account.
- Determining your coverages for health care service.
- Reviewing your explanation of benefits, or EOB.
- Determining the status of your deductibles.
- Finding valuable health care resources.
The talk is part of the "Navigating Retirement" discussion series organized by Western's Association of Retired Faculty in conjunction with the University's Human Resources department.
