Operating budget and tuition for 2016-17 top trustees' meeting agenda
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Tuition rates for the coming academic year and the 2016-17 operating budget top the agenda of items the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees will consider when the board meets at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, on campus in the Heritage Hall ballroom.
Labor agreements with the Michigan State Employees Association and the Professional Instructors Organization also are part of the action agenda that day. In addition, those attending will see a presentation on campus wayfinding improvements being planned and hear an update on the status of the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.
The board also will consider recommendations for faculty promotions and tenure as well as an administrative proposal for a five-year plan for the use of capital outlay funds.
During the meeting, the board also will receive and be asked to approve reports covering personnel moves, receipt of gifts and grants, and changes to academic programs as well as information about operating cash accounts and annuity and life income funds.
