Kay A. Shearer, retired office coordinator in Western Michigan University's Mallinson Institute for Science Education, died Sept. 17. She was 71.
Shearer, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, joined the WMU staff in 1986 and retired in 2005 after almost 19 years of service to the University.
