John F. Walker, a former industrial design teacher at Western Michigan University, died Dec. 27. He was 76.
Walker was an instructor and advisor in industrial design for a few years starting in 1987. Prior to coming to WMU, he was owner and partner in Walker design, an industrial and graphic design consulting firm.
Survivors include his wife, Gay Walker, a recently retired master faculty specialist-professional specialist emerita in interdisciplinary health programs at WMU.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, in the People's Church, 1758 N. 10th St., Kalamazoo.
