KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University Center for the Humanities and the Graduate Student Association invite graduate students to make submissions for the WMU Graduate Humanities Conference to be held on campus Friday, March 24.

Conference organizers invite all graduate students to submit proposals and will consider any submissions related to the humanities. But papers, posters and panels addressing the 2016-17 humanities center theme, "Science and the Human Endeavor," are particularly welcome. The conference is open to any currently enrolled WMU graduate student.

Submission deadline

The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, Feb. 24, and completed papers must be submitted by March 10. Proposals should be submitted online at wmich.edu/humanities/students. Presenters will be contacted by email to confirm receipt of their completed proposal as well as conference acceptance.

The faculty serving as respondents will select two outstanding submissions to be awarded a cash prize and publication in the Hilltop Review. The first place prize winner will receive $500 and the second place finisher will win $300.
