KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University's Office for Sustainability is accepting applications through 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, for the Spring 2018 WeSustain Internship Program. The spring internship program runs from Jan. 18 through April 13.

The WeSustain internship is a semesterlong, paid, discovery-driven opportunity for students to gain practical experience with on- and off-campus sustainability projects. A dynamic and diverse cohort of eight to 10 students will be selected for the spring 2018 semester to explore ways of improving quality of life for all in their careers, communities and beyond.

From alternative energy and permaculture to systems thinking and social justice, WeSustain interns will explore a wide breadth of sustainability topics and gain the critical knowledge and experience to become sustainability ambassadors. Students from all academic and personal backgrounds are invited to join this cohort-based internship and gain the skills necessary to become effective leaders in creating a sustainable future.
