Listener contributions to WMUK financially support the production of award-winning local news and arts content, as well as popular NPR programs such as "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered."

"Thanks to the contributions of hundreds of new and current members, WMUK is in a strong position to finish its fundraising year off successfully," says the station's development director, Kim Willis. "Listeners all over Southwest Michigan are letting us know how much they value having a public radio station based in their region, covering the news and arts in their communities."

WMUK recently celebrated winning three Excellence Awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for local program work that was supported in part by station members.

Licensed to Western Michigan University, WMUK has been a broadcasting service to southwest Michigan and northern Indiana for more than 65 years. Part of the station's legacy includes being one of the founding member stations of National Public Radio, which began service in 1971.
