Trustees approve tuition for online, regional and non-Michigan sites

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—During its June 27 meeting, the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees approved 2018-19 tuition and required fee rates for students enrolled in Extended University Programs. 

Based on the board's action:

  • Effective with the start of the fall 2018 semester, a freshman or sophomore taking classes at WMU's regional locations in Michigan will pay $463.55 per credit hour.
  • At WMU's non-Michigan locations, the undergraduate tuition rate is $509.50 per credit hour.
  • For undergraduate online courses, the per-credit-hour rate will be $383.63. As in the past, students will continue to pay a $60 per-credit-hour support fee for all undergraduate online students.
  • For graduate students taking classes at WMU's regional sites in Michigan, out of state or online, the tuition rate is $651.57 per credit hour. And EUP graduate students will continue to be assessed a $20 per-course technology fee.
