Annual Bronco Bash event set
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The early registration deadline for booth space at this year’s Bronco Bash at Western Michigan University is Wednesday, July 31. Applications submitted after that date will be assessed a $25 late fee and processed pending available booth space. The deadline for late application is 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19.
The 39th annual event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, on the Sangren Pedestrian Mall.
About the event
Each year, over 450 vendors including student organizations, University departments, local businesses and local organizations participate in Bronco Bash by providing information, involvement opportunities and promotional items to over 20,000 attendees. With carnival-style food, rides, games and live entertainment, Bronco Bash is one of the largest events held on campus every year. This is a longstanding part of the Kalamazoo and WMU communities and continues to be a huge success in welcoming new students, as well as returning undergraduate and graduate students.
With about 250 registered student organization booths alone, students are exposed to nearly everything WMU has to offer and are encouraged to become more immersed in the University's co-curricular culture.
Students are encouraged to interact with the organizations and departments at the event to discover opportunities available to them on campus and in the Kalamazoo community.
Bronco Bash is organized by students through the Office of Student Engagement. Coordinators work through the summer to make the welcome back festival memorable each year. This year, the student interns are reaching out to many new organizations in the Kalamazoo community and look forward to seeing some new faces at the event.
