City plans Stadium Drive construction near campus
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Traffic shifts and lane closures are expected along Stadium Drive beginning Monday, Feb. 14, through the end of April to replace an aging culvert located just south of Oliver Street near Western Michigan University's Main Campus. One lane in each direction will remain open throughout the project.
The city of Kalamazoo's culvert replacement project is in preparation for a larger project it plans for Stadium Drive between Howard and Lovell streets later this year to reconstruct the street, add a landscaped median, add a multi-use path and make Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and pedestrian signal improvements.
