Labor contract on WMU trustees' meeting agenda Thursday
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—A four-year labor contract with the Michigan State Employees Association (MSEA) is on the agenda when the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees meets at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, in the Bernhard Center North Ballroom. The meeting also will be livestreamed.
MSEA represents the 17 employees of the Robert M. Beam Power Plant. The labor agreement before trustees includes wage increases in each of the four years of the contract. Other items for board consideration Thursday include a state-required, five-year capital outlay master plan, a real estate property lease for medical and clinical offices at WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, academic degree changes and a personnel report.
Individuals wishing to address the board during either public comment sections of the meeting must notify Dr. Kahler Schuemann, secretary of the board, by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
