Board meeting Thursday includes building project priority list
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—During the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees' first meeting of the academic year at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the North Ballroom of the Bernhard Center, trustees will consider the University’s building project priority list.
The project priority list, topped by Knauss Hall, is part of the Five-Year Capital Outlay Plan the state of Michigan requires all state universities to submit annually. In addition to this agenda item, trustees will consider the approval of closing quasi-endowments with a market value of less than $50,000, which now fall below a new minimum amount established by the WMU Foundation. Trustees also will consider a personnel report and submission of a one-day liquor license for the College of Fine Arts for its 50th anniversary reception on Oct. 14.
For additional details, find the board’s full agenda online. Individuals wishing to address the board during either public comment section must email Dr. Kahler Schuemann by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14. The meeting will also be available by livestream.
