WMU board to consider proposed 2025-26 tuition, room and board rates Thursday

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Tuition and required fees, room and board rates, and the general operating budget for the 2025-26 year top the agenda when the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees meets Thursday, June 26, at noon in the Heritage Hall ballroom. 

Other agenda items the trustees will consider include granting emeritus status to Dr. Edward Montgomery, who will retire as WMU’s president on June 30; approving faculty tenure and promotions; authorizing a real property lease for Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine; and setting the 2026 Board of Trustees meeting dates. Individuals who wish to address the board during public comment sections of the meeting must email Dr. Kahler Schuemann by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
