Western Michigan University's piano program offers you the opportunity to study with our distinguished faculty who focus on helping you reach your fullest potential as a performer and educator. We are one of only two All-Steinway Schools in Michigan. We offer a conservatory-style training at a public university price.

Degree programs at our All-Steinway School include performance, music education, jazz studies, composition and music therapy. As a piano major at Western, students will meet weekly with the professor, attend regular studio classes and have the opportunity  to perform either as soloist or in many collaborative settings. Frequent guests of the School of Music and the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival provide exposure to a variety of significant artists.
