“Working globally with Boeing teammates and being able to collaborate has also given us some great diversity in thought and approach to solve issues. Being able to come together and have technical conversations and seeing challenges from various angles is one of the best parts of my job.” Saad is also excited about the future of aviation and her role in it. Recently, Boeing was awarded the sustainable flight demonstrator project. For this project, Boeing and NASA will partner to produce an experimental airplane designed with the goal of lessening commercial aviation’s impact

WMU offers program to prepare finance students for Series 7 exam
Haworth College of Business
Under the partnership with Edward Jones, WMU students will be prepared to take the licensing exam upon being hired. "This is another example of how well our program prepares our students for the job market. Students who take this class will have the necessary knowledge to take the Series 7 exam,” says Dr. Devrim Yaman, associate dean of undergraduate programs and professor of finance and commercial law at the Haworth College of Business.

Posted by Bethany Gauthier on January 26, 2023 Originally from Cuba, Jade Cervantes is a junior here at WMU. Jade’s major is biomedical sciences and she is minoring in chemistry. When she’s not in class or working at her part-time job in healthcare, Jade serves as a Lee Honors College Peer Student Success Team mentor, and she recently joined the Latino Student Alliance. One of Jade’s favorite things about the Lee Honors College is our study spaces—especially the lounge, which is a “Good place to relax and spend time with other students.”

Additionally, Madeline held various leadership roles in the Food Marketing Association and had multiple on-campus jobs, including student ambassador for the Haworth College of Business, business preparation teaching assistant, and peer educator in the Zhang Career Center.
