Regional Three-Minute Thesis Competition Finalist Thomas Weinandy, Ph.D. candidate in Applied Economics, represented WMU at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools' Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Weinandy placed in the top six out of a possible 175 participating institutions! He did a great job representing WMU and the Department of Economics. Terri Kinzy Monroe-Brown Foundation Donation The Monroe-Brown Foundation has provided a donation to WMU for growing technology transfer activities at WMU, engaging Kalamazoo-area entrepreneurs and fostering job creation. The $140,000 gift establishes the Monroe-Brown Foundation Entrepreneurship Fund. The Fund will support four projects: Community Engagement Awards for Introduction to Customer Discovery (ICD) teams in the Kalamazoo area.
