WMU supply chain program named top program for 13th straight year
Haworth College of Business
The program includes student consulting projects for companies, which give students experience in solving real supply chain challenges. In addition, internships are required for all students, which improve the job readiness of WMU supply chain graduates. The WMU supply chain program was established in 1993. The WMU Center for Integrated Supply Management was founded in 2014 by the Haworth College of Business and convenes resources for students and employers in the supply chain space.

Walter Enz Memorial Award
Frostic School of Art
Dr. Walter Enz expressed in an interview with the Kalamazoo Gazette, “I’ve got so many degrees I don’t know what to do with them. Maybe now I can get a job!” The family of Walter F. Enz established this annual grant to honor the outstanding students in the School of Art. A committee of art faculty, and one member of the Enz family select the recipients each year.

“My expectations for myself in going into college and pursuing this meant that this was my job,” she says. “I found that mindset to be helpful. The blessing came, however, in discovering that I love the work. It is not just a job; it is something I truly enjoy.” As soon-to-be Second Lieutenant VanArendonk finishes her nursing degree at Western, she plans to not only become an Army nurse but also a flight nurse and attend the Army’s Ranger School.

It was there that he learned how to manage millions of dollars in sales while developing an understanding of core business practices including operations, finance, human resources, marketing, customer service and inventory management. He was also an invaluable proponent of the company’s evolving diversity and inclusion culture. In January, Cox accepted his dream job as an account strategist with Google—a position that will allow him to grow his passion for data-driven decision making. Hobbies: “Religion, family time, traveling, gardening and shopping.”
