Learning to lead from inside
WMU News
Kautz says the program allows students to learn from and network with people who've been employed in the industry for several years. "You get to work on real business scenarios with people who have jobs and experience. It's a pretty great learning opportunity to be able to do that in practice, in real time with people that are having similar experiences.

Aviation Outlook Day
College of Aviation
Needless to say, it’s not a bad place to come hang out. Our dean has a line he always says to prospective students and that is, “You come to school to get job.” College should be the most fun you have in your life but at the same time it’s a place to meet future employers who could give you a start on your career.

The strength of Bronco roots
Haworth College of Business
My husband and I ended up relocating back to Kalamazoo after he was offered a new job and I was able to work remotely for Anixter. In 2017, I learned about an opening at WMU for the director of logistical services. I wasn’t actively looking to change jobs at the time, but it seemed like a great opportunity. Now I’ve been with the university over a year, and I couldn’t be happier.

Litvinova's internship runs from January to June of 2018. While nearly 600 WMU students study abroad every year, Litvinova's credit-bearing internship is different because she is gaining "on the job" experience. At Parker Hannifin, Litvinova works closely with project engineers on tasks assigned to her every day, providing her with her first hands-on engineering experience.

Why I Chose to Double-Major
College of Aviation
If a pilot is unable to obtain a certificate, they have the management and operations degree to fall back on. This degree allows you to have a job that isn’t flying, maintaining, or controlling the aircraft. This includes jobs such as human resources, dispatch, or sales. However, I chose this path because it will give me an understanding of how to operate the airplane and also the business behind what makes the airplane fly.
