Title IX COMMITTEE

The committee consists of representatives from across campus who have a role in creating an inclusive and equitable environment for WMU students, faculty, and staff. The primary purpose is shaping policy, education and outreach concerning gender equity, particularly the elimination of sexual violence, harassment and discrimination. This work is guided by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Ace as amended by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA).
