Spring Into The Streets
Twice each year, WMU students, faculty and staff come together to serve the Kalamazoo community through Spring Into the Streets (SITS) and Fall Into the Streets (FITS). Held over one weekend during the fall and spring semesters, these campus-wide volunteer events connect Broncos with local organizations and causes, creating opportunities to build relationships, strengthen communities and make a meaningful impact through service.
Each spring, Broncos participate in Spring Into the Streets (SITS), WMU's signature spring service event. Volunteers work alongside community organizations throughout Kalamazoo on projects that support education, environmental stewardship, food security, youth development and other important community initiatives.
Volunteer opportunities and site registrations are posted through ExperienceWMU. Join the Community Engaged Learning organization in ExperienceWMU and sign up for volunteer opportunity alerts to be notified as soon as events are posted.
