Student organization to focus on impacting others
Business Influencer's Organization
All organizations need to be skillful at adapting as environments change. Recently the Management Student Organization in the Haworth College of Business was reconceived as the “Business Influencer’s Organization” to help students of all business disciplines meet their personal and professional goals.
Focusing on servant leadership, the RSO’s mission is “To challenge each other in personal growth, share our ideas as social impactors, and influence our communities toward a richer tomorrow.” At the personal level, the group is committed to helping their peers succeed. The servant leaders focus on reaching out to members individually, providing advice and support with whatever the student needs—whether that be help practicing interviews, finding an internship, or just a conversation over lunch. Members join because they want to grow and stay because of the impact and community.
Outside of the college of business, the group has a goal of developing professional skills through service. While many RSOs host volunteer events, this group would like to focus on how to use service as a way to benefit the community and grow members’ capabilities. In addition, Business Influencer’s Organization aims to challenge members to develop personal skills and inspire each other to set goals toward making a difference with their future careers.
Business Influencer’s Organization is open to any student. Contact them at businessinfluencersorg@gmail.com for more information, or find them on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter by searching @wmubio.
