Campus Choir

Campus Choir, a 40-60 voice SATB concert choir, is open to everyone at Western Michigan University. The core of Campus Choir is a dedicated group of singers from the Kalamazoo and University communities that includes students, faculty, staff, and community members. Campus Choir rehearses from 7-9pm on Wednesdays in the Dalton Center. Campus Choir gives concerts each semester in the Dalton Recital Hall, performs on the annual Choral Christmas concert as part of Grand Chorus, and performs masterworks each spring with instrumental ensembles. Campus Choir is also featured on graduate student recitals. In Spring 2024, the Campus Choir will join the other WMU Choirs to form Grand Chorus and perform Mozart's Requiem with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

The 2023-24 conductors for Campus Choir are Lauren Estep, Tony Leva, and Aaron Alimena, all graduate students in the conducting area.

A five-minute voice-placement appointment is required to join the choir, no singers are rejected. The voice placement appointment allows the directors to determine your voice part and get to know you as an individual.

If you are interested in singing with Campus Choir, we will add you to our roster and notify you of future auditions, rehearsals and performances. To be placed on our general roster for Campus Choir, please send an email to Anthony.J.Leva@wmich.edu with your name, voice part and contact information.
