FINAL INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Application Information
All internship applications will be accepted through Tk20.
Navigation guides are available on the Teacher and Administrator Certification page.
In order to apply for your internship, you must attend a teaching internship audit workshop. The session will last approximately an hour and a half. During the session, you will complete your internship audit with an advisor, submit your application for graduation and start your final internship application.
Please contact the Office of Clinical Experiences if you have concerns about your registration for the workshop.
Teacher Candidates may not select their placements for intern teaching—placements are made by the Office of Clinical Experiences at Western Michigan University based on programmatic needs and design, supervisory load and the availability of intern teaching situations within our cluster sites (partnership schools). Additionally, the college has a long-standing practice of avoiding the placement of teacher candidates in districts from which they have graduated or have previously established or familial relationship.
