Navigator Program

The Navigator Program at Western Michigan University proactively provides individualized support to students by reaching out to students directly. We promise to connect you to the right resources on campus so you can continue to thrive at WMU.

This program is directly connected to other navigation specialists with specialized knowledge in multicultural, well-being, and financial aid services.

How it Works

Peer Navigators and Student Success Navigators start supportive relationships with students by proactively reaching out to every freshman and new transfer student to introduce themselves and make a personal connection.

Throughout the academic year, students receive proactive outreach from the Navigator Program team in the form of phone calls, emails, Pulse surveys, and coordinated student support to continuously assess their progress and well-being.

Get the support you need.

As your needs are identified, the Navigator Team guides you to appropriate support and resources. You do not have to wait! You can contact us now and we will reach out to you within 24 business hours.
