Luncheon planned to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day
KALAMAZOO—Students, university employees and guests are invited to a special commemorative MLK luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the residence hall dining rooms and at the Bernhard Café and Market.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dining Services will be offering a diverse menu that represents a regional selection of dishes. Fresh menu items include corn chowder, shrimp Diane, rice and pinto beans and assorted desserts, plus curried tofu kale wraps—a WMU Campus Beet recipe.
Information about Dr. King’s achievements and influence, and details about his visit to WMU on Dec. 18, 1963 will be featured throughout the dining rooms as part of the event. The full menu, prices and information are available on the Dining Services website at wmich.edu/dining/events.
