KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University students can get one-on-one help with their research papers and projects during the tropical-themed Spring into Research event from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Waldo Library.

Designed to help students overcome their research obstacles in a fun, community atmosphere, the event features free tropical refreshments and resources to help students be successful. Instructors, Writing Center staff, librarians and other WMU experts will be available to lead students through the process of preparing a paper or project:

  • Narrowing down or defining a topic
  • Finding reliable information
  • Organizing ideas and paper format
  • Properly citing sources
