Dining Services to host dinner inspired by Latin American cuisine

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University Dining Services invites students, University employees and guests to a Flavors of Latin America dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in residence hall dining rooms across campus. The Latin-inspired menu will feature a sampling of rich cultural cuisines that are found throughout Central and South America.

Menu items

  • Steak with chimichurri sauce and Dulce de Leche cheesecake bites (Argentina)
  • Cuban bread (Cuba)
  • Cilantro lime rice and mango mousse with raspberries (Mexico)
  • Peruvian-style roasted potatoes and chicken with sweet onions, quinoa, and sweet potato cakes (Peru)
  • Soups and several side dishes

All guests are welcome for dinner at any of the five dining room locations on campus. Dining Services accepts meal plans, Dining Dollars and cash at the door. The cost for dinner is $9.25. Students, faculty and staff can set up a Dining Dollars account online in advance.
