Golf outing slated to raise funds for student aviation groups

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.—Registrations are being accepted until Saturday, June 1, for the third annual golf outing to raise funds for student organizations in Western Michigan University's College of Aviation.

The event will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Cedar Creek Golf Course, 14000 Renton Road in Battle Creek. Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. The $75 per-golfer cost includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a gift and dinner.

Golfers will be paired as necessary, and registration is limited to the first 350 golfers. Competition prizes will be awarded for men and women in the following categories: longest drive, closest to the pin and straightest drive. Raffle prizes also will be presented.

Proceeds from the golf outing will support Air Force ROTC, Alpha Eta Rho, the Aviation Student Council, the Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance, the Multicultural Association of Aviation Professionals, the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association, the Sky Broncos Flight Team and Women in Aviation.

The College of Aviation is seeking sponsors for the golf outing. In addition, tax-deductible gifts are welcome at any level.
