KALAMAZOO—The Sindecuse Health Center at Western Michigan University will shut down during the upcoming holiday closure, Thursday through Tuesday, Dec. 26-31. The health center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24.

The shutdown is a change from previous years, when the center remained open during part of the University's annual closure between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Change in pharmacy hours

In addition, the Sindecuse pharmacy will change its operating hours beginning Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.

The pharmacy will be open until 6 p.m. on Fridays, giving patients an extra hour of service. Meanwhile, Saturday pharmacy hours will be discontinued.

Hours for the pharmacy's drive-up window will be extended by half an hour on Fridays. Patients will be able to use the service until 6 p.m. Friday as well as Monday and until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Those hoping to refill prescriptions before the end of the year are asked to make arrangements to pick up prescriptions no later than Monday, Dec. 23.
