KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Waldo Library is staging "Night of the Research Paper" from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, to help Western Michigan University students succeed in their research assignments.

During this event, librarians, Writing Center staff and Bronco Study Zone staff will give students one-on-one assistance through all or part of the process of doing a research paper or project.

Available assistance

Students can receive help with:

  • Narrowing and defining a topic.
  • Finding reliable and scholarly information.
  • Organizing the paper.
  • Appropriately citing sources.

Participants are asked to bring a hard copy of their research assignment to their one-on-one consultation. Entire classes are welcome, but prior notice is requested so accommodations can be made.

Organizers also note that research assistance and writing help are always available at Waldo Library's Central Reference Desk at (269) 387-5178 and the Writing Center at (269) 387-4615.

This year's "Night of the Research Paper" is sponsored by University Libraries, WMU's Writing Center and Friends of University Libraries.
