Diversity and inclusion nominations sought
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Nominations are being sought through Tuesday, Jan. 3, to honor those individuals who exemplify the importance of diversity and inclusion at Western Michigan University.
Forms are available from the University's Excellence in Diversity Awards Selection Committee through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at wmich.edu/diversity/excellence-diversity-award. Nominees should support diversity and inclusion goals defined in WMU’s Diversity and Multiculturalism Action Plan and include a brief narrative, no more than three pages in length, of how the individual or team contributes to those goals.
Nominations of groups or individuals of employees, students or WMU community members are welcome. The selected recipients will be recognized at the 2017 Spring Convocation Recognition Friday, Feb. 17. Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend.
