KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University will recognize thousands of student employees during its 31st annual Student Employee Appreciation Week, Monday through Friday, Feb. 20-24.

The week is a time to recognize the hard work and countless contributions of student employees and is an opportunity to showcase each year's winners of and nominees for WMU's outstanding student employee and outstanding supervisor awards.

Units across campus will show their appreciation for their student workers in numerous ways during the week, including by taking these colleagues to lunch, presenting them with certificates and gifts, and nominating them as the top student employee for 2017.

Award nominations sought

Faculty and staff members should make nominations for the Belleville Student Employee of the Year award, while students should make nominations for the Supervisor of the Year award.

The nomination deadline for the awards is Friday, Feb. 10. Nominations received for both awards will be entered in a national competition.

In addition, all of this year's winners and nominees will be announced as well as celebrated during a reception from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb 23, in 208-210 Bernhard Center.
